The Basic Locator with Street Maps includes a top level country map, or regional map if appropriate, with location markers for each of your locations. A customer's click on this interactive map can initiate a geographic search for locations nearest the actual point they clicked on or may be used to navigate to a state page.

When given the option to perform location searches by text entry or map click, most customers choose map click. This is just one more way Know-Where provides you and your customers a wide array of solutions that make it quick and easy to find your locations.

State pages may contain lists of all locations within the state, typically sorted by city name. Each state page can include a state map, with locations marked with dots, and which is also clickable for searching. These maps may be configured in a large variety of ways. For example, size and colors are up to you.

In addition to searching done by clicking on the map, users may perform proximity searches by entering a city and/or state, ZIP code, area code, or telephone exchange. City name searches provide a powerful spelling correction feature that in real cases will correct nearly all spelling errors entered by users. For example, "Buloxi, MI" will be corrected to "Biloxi, MS".

Search result pages display the closest locations to the user's specified point of interest. The number of locations displayed and the search distances used for determining these are controlled by a set of parameters that you can configure and change at any time. The format of the search result table may be specified by you, and may contain any information that can be provided in data, including HTML links to other pages, and may use icons provided to us for various attributes.
